If you’ve heard about eyelash extensions, you may be wondering what they are made of?
Also, how are they applied and do they hurt?
This article has been written to help you with those questions and to give you a little bit more knowledge about the fast growing beauty procedure that is becoming more of a favourite among the new stars and celebrities out there in the limelight today.
So, what are they made of?
Most of the lash extensions available today are made from a synthetic material which is soft and curved and are completely safe.
They are designed specifically so that they will adhere to natural human lashes by using a formulated special lash adhesive which is not painful at all. In fact, it is known to be the one of the most relaxing treatments in the beauty industry because all you have to do is lay down with your eyes closed for a few hours and relax!
With that in mind, I will now brief over how are the lashes applied and how long they take?
After preparation of the eye area and having the correct equipment and lashes to hand, the technician will then isolate individual lashes and apply the lash extension to it using the adhesive.
After the desired amount of lashes are applied, the technician will then perfect the positioning of the extensions using a special comb tool and voila! Beautiful, natural looking lashes in approximately two hours.
Are they maintenance free?
No. they do need a little bit of care and attention and it’s recommended that you have maintenance on them every two to three weeks to help them look great and last that bit longer.
